Purpose: Optimizing low-latency audio playback, refining lesson curves, and ensuring 60fps rendering across various Android hardware configurations. No audio recordings, microphone input, or personal identities are ever sent to Firebase Analytics.
To deliver flawless stability and resolve unforeseen software faults, the app incorporates Google Firebase Crashlytics.
When a rare app crash or native audio buffer error occurs, Crashlytics securely transmits non-personally identifiable diagnostic crash traces (stack traces, memory state, device hardware architecture, OS version). This technical data is used exclusively by our engineering team to troubleshoot bugs and improve application reliability.
To ensure pristine audio quality without requiring an excessively large initial app download from the Google Play Store, authentic studio-recorded acoustic audio samples and high-definition instrument textures are securely served via Cloudflare, Inc. Content Delivery Network (CDN) edge infrastructure.
When downloading sound files, encrypted HTTPS requests connect directly to the nearest Cloudflare server. Standard network connection metadata (such as IP address and user-agent string) is processed temporarily by Cloudflare strictly for network routing, DDoS prevention, and content delivery in compliance with Cloudflare’s global privacy standards.
The application includes an optional built-in Chromatic Flute Tuner to assist musicians in tuning their acoustic flutes.
When you record a musical piece using the in-app Recorder, the performance is stored strictly as a sequence of fingering touch events locally within your device's isolated app storage sandbox.
You retain total ownership and control over your recorded melodies. You may play them back, rename them, or delete them permanently at any time.
Flute is fully compliant with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). The application does not require account registration, does not collect personal identifiers, and is suitable for music students and enthusiasts of all ages. We do not knowingly solicit or collect personal data from children under 13.
Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) (EU/UK) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), users have rights regarding data transparency and privacy protection.
Because Flute does not mandate user accounts, does not store personal identities, and operates primarily on-device, our data footprint is minimal and privacy-preserving by design.
